No purchase necessary. A free claim is worth 50 entries, the same as the best subscription tier earns in one billing period, and is treated identically in the draw. One claim per person every 7 days, up to 200 entries per person from every route combined. Entries go in the draw the moment they are claimed; there is nothing to write.
